delia-h
Delia Vaisey, or delia-h, is a North Carolinian songwriter currently based in upstate New York. Her music can be described as honest, melodic, and lyric-forward, driven by authentic themes of love, guilt, anger, and introspection rather than genre. From a young age, she has used songwriting as a way to mark the chapters of her life. She prides herself on protecting her own sacred, private relationship with creativity, and hopes to inspire others in her community to do the same. However, she also loves it when people clap for her. So you do the math.

Little Slicer
Starting in Ithaca in 2023 and now scattered around NJ and NY, Little Slicer channels a love for the many different flavors of indie rock within the last 40 years, unafraid to incorporate nods to math rock and indie pop and emo alike. Built around the songs of Wallace Petruziello (vocals/guitar), the band has seen a rotating cast of musicians (close to 15 people have been involved with the project at this point) but typically includes Jas Rodriguez (bass), David Meriney (drums), and Zach Ryan (guitar). As of 2025, everyone in the recording process AND the production process (mixing/mastering) attended Ithaca College at some point.

CARPET CRAWLER is an Ithaca-based alternative grunge band making music from the crevices behind your couch. CARPET CRAWLER includes members Kaeden Rabenstein-Spiers, Lou Kirkman, Jared Barnhart, and Cody Westbrook. The band is the amalgamation of individual artists who have all played music together in different forms and different combinations dating back to 2017. CARPET CRAWLER was birthed from the desire to create a cohesive sound for live performance. The music CARPET CRAWLER creates can be mostly classified as Alt Grunge and Post Hardcore. Their sound is reminiscent of your older brother’s band practicing in the attic while you’re trying to sleep. They are inspired mostly by post-punk, early hardcore, post-rock, and skramz bands, but everything outside of that and in between. They are also heavily influenced by 90’s-2000’s alternative scenes and DIY culture. They’re the leftover crumbs in the carpet that all of the other Ithaca bands play on.

Meet the team
Meredith Westfield earned her degree in Business Administration with a Management concentration and has loved listening to old jazz records with her Dad for many years. She hopes to use this project to learn more about the Ithaca music scene and how to put an album together. The Retro/Active Compilation album is a great opportunity to collaborate with brilliant artists, work on a real-life project from beginning to end, and send it out into the world for people to enjoy.
Stephanie Tokasz earned her degree in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts, and throughout the process of writing, directing, and editing her thesis film, she worked closely with a music supervisor to develop an original music score. She has also previously worked with talent in a talent agency setting, so she is very excited to expand her scope and work with talent in a music setting. Throughout the past several months, Stephanie has traveled to various places, including New York City, Toronto, Syracuse, and Washington, D.C., just to see her favorite artists, and she has no plans of stopping these adventures. The “Retro/Active” Compilation album allows talented Ithaca artists to share their incredible work, and every listener is sure to find a piece of their favorite genre within the album.
Sam Abramson has a degree in Vocal Music and has been singing since he was 5 years old. He has always had a soft spot for music and finding new exciting artists. For the last 2 years, Sam has been trying to listen to a new album every week and wants people to do the same with all the artists featured on this album. The Retro/Active Compilation album means sharing new music and giving other artists the platform to promote and sell their projects.
Gus Genova has always had a love for music from owning an electric cello to hosting his own radio show Rock Out! with multiple seasons. His love for music has followed him from New York City to Ithaca as he has developed a love for the Ithaca Music Scene. This was a project he first pitched individually as a love letter to the Ithaca community giving back to the Ithaca Music Scene. He has since come together with this team and is very excited to now bring this project to life with them.
