About Beyond the Scoreboard
An event centered around mental and physical health for college Athletes.
The film festival portion will begin at 5pm following by a panel discussion at 7pm.
Featured Panelists
Meadow Maguire – Panelist
Prior to her collegiate career, Meadow recieved numerous accolades such as All-State, First Team All-Group and All-Shore honoree at Rumson Fair-Haven HS. She continued her career playing D1 field hockey at Cornell where she has made a significant contribution to her teams success.
Javi Mejia – Panelist
Javi is currently the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Ithaca college. Prior to Ithaca, he worked as the Head Mens Soccer Coach at Emerson College and assistant coach at Syracuse University. He also has a masters certificate in Sports Counseling and Student-Athlete Mental Wellness.
Sam Tourangeau – Panelist
Sam has been a member of the Ithaca College Varsity Football team for his four collegiate years. During his fourth season as a bomber, he suffered a season ending injury. Sam plans to return to Ithaca college for his fifth year to end his football career on a high note and complete degree.
Bryson Shuall – Moderator
Bryson has a love for all things sports-related. He is on the Men’s soccer team at Ithaca, and part of ICTV as an on-air talent. Before coming to Ithaca, he played 2 years of D1 Soccer at UMBC. He started “The 8×24 Podcast” which streams in 15 countries. He has also worked as a sideline reporter for ESPN+ broadcasts.
Brian Peterson – Panelist
Brian is the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Ithaca College. He received a Doctor of Phycology from William James College. Brian has a passion for supporting all Ithaca students as they grow and excel in our community.

Shae Sabino
Shae graduated from IC in 2024 with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She was on the basketball team for two years and is excited for this event as she has a passion for advocating for mental health in sports.
Aria Mix
Aria graduated from IC last year with a BS in cinema and photography. She will graduate in May with an MBA in Entertainment & Media. She has been on the Cheerleading Team at Ithaca for 4 years. This project combines her passions of sports and film!
